- CodeRover DiscussionI'm having issues with my CodeRover core and Micro:Bit. The CodeRover works using the remote control. When we put a micro:bit in, it would flash the +5v and 3.3v indicators on the core then go completely dead. The first micro:bit got so hot it burned my finger enough to blister while pulling it out. I'm glad I pulled it and not my kid. I assumed we had a bad micro:bit, so I ordered another. After waiting for it to come in the mail, i paired the new one first using just usb power. It paired with the tablet and was working. I shut it off and plugged it into the CodeRover core and the same thing happened. I should have checked voltage on the core before attempting another micro:bit, because it’s putting out over 7v where it should be 3v for the micro:bit. I checked voltage with the CodeBit plugged in, because that is working. I then checked with the micro:bit plugged back in and I’m seeing 4.6v for a second or two before it shuts off completely. I’m pretty sure both of the micro:bits are fried… they won't power on outside of the CodeRover with usb power. Is anyone else having issues like this?
